What scheduling options do you offer?

We offer more than one way to structure lessons depending on a swimmer’s needs and family schedule.

 

Some families choose a weekly lesson on a consistent day and time, while others prefer lessons scheduled closer together or back-to-back over a shorter period of time.

 

Lesson structure, location, and availability may vary based on instructor availability and scheduling logistics. We’re happy to help determine what option may be the best fit.

How does billing work?

Weekly lessons are billed through our monthly tuition system, which reserves a consistent weekly lesson time and covers four lessons per month, regardless of how many weeks fall in a calendar month. If a month contains a fifth week, there will be no scheduled lesson during that week. 5th-week dates are on this calendar for your reference.

 

In months with extended closures (such as Thanksgiving week or the Christmas/New Year break), tuition is prorated accordingly. Click here to see the scheduled closures.

 

Back-to-back lesson scheduling is billed as a single, one-time payment and is not part of the monthly tuition system. These lessons are offered in 20-minute sessions only, scheduled on consecutive days, and do not renew automatically. Availability may vary by location and may not be offered for travel or in-home lessons. All scheduling and billing details are confirmed individually prior to scheduling.

What is your program style?

Our program is designed to be personalized for each individual student — no “one-size-fits-all” approach here! We teach all ages and skill levels, from infants to adults, beginners to advanced stroke refinement.While we are not a survival-based program, we do teach all essential water-safety and survival skills along with proper technique. Our focus is on building a foundation of trust, confidence, and enjoyment in the water, which we believe leads to the best long-term progress.

Do you travel to private pools?

​Yes! Simpli Swim offers mobile lessons at private home pools throughout San Diego County, depending on instructor availability and scheduling.


Because our team and locations vary seasonally, travel availability is determined on a case-by-case basis. If you’re located within San Diego County, reach out with your location details and we’ll confirm whether we can accommodate you or connect you with another trusted instructor in your area.


Please note that travel lessons have separate tuition rates from lessons held at our Escondido pool.


Travel lessons are offered March through October and require access to a heated pool to ensure safe and comfortable lesson conditions.

How many lessons does it typically take to learn to swim?

This can vary depending on age, previous experience, comfort in the water, and lesson consistency. Some students progress within a couple of months, while others take longer — consistency is the key to lasting results.

​​Some families choose to schedule lessons closer together to support consistency or accommodate specific scheduling needs.

Do you offer free trial lessons?

We don’t offer free trial lessons. Each session is carefully planned and personalized to meet your swimmer’s goals, which begins from the very first lesson.

 

If you’d like to get a better feel for our approach, we are happy to discuss scheduling a single paid lesson before committing to a full month.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellation policies depend on the scheduling model selected.

 

Weekly lessons (Monthly Tuition Model):
Your weekly lesson time is reserved exclusively for you. We allow one cancellation per month with at least 24 hours’ notice, which may be used for any reason, including illness. Additional cancellations or cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice are still charged.

Back-to-Back lessons (5-day scheduling):
Back-to-back lessons are scheduled over a short, consecutive time period and follow a different cancellation structure. These lessons do not include per-lesson cancellations or make-ups. One courtesy sick week may be permitted if at least 24 hours’ notice is given before the first scheduled lesson of the week.

Consistency is key to your swimmer’s progress, so we appreciate your understanding and commitment to maintaining a regular schedule.

What if my swimmer is sick?

If your child is unwell (fever, contagious symptoms, or simply not feeling up for swimming), please reach out as soon as possible. We want everyone to stay healthy and safe.

​

Children may not attend lessons if they are visibly ill. This includes fever, coughing, vomiting, diarrhea, or other signs of sickness. For the health and safety of all swimmers and instructors, we reserve the right to cancel or end a lesson if a child arrives visibly sick, and the applicable cancellation policy will apply based on the swimmer’s enrollment type. 

What happens if I can’t attend the make-up day?

In the event of a canceled class, we offer one opportunity to reschedule as a make-up class that works for everyone's schedule. Unfortunately, if you can't attend the make-up class, that lesson is forfeited.​​​

Why do we skip 5th weeks?

Tuition is based on four lessons per month. Some months have a few extra days that create a 5th week, but lessons are not held during that week. Click here to see the closures calendar. 

 

Fifth weeks provide time for instructor rest, make-up lessons, and business admin. This schedule keeps tuition consistent month to month while allowing time for behind-the-scenes work that helps our program run smoothly. 

Do you charge  processing fees?

Payments made via bank transfer (ACH) do not incur a processing fee.
Credit card payments are accepted for convenience and include a processing fee, which will always be shown before payment is completed.

How do I terminate my enrollment?

To be removed from the Simpli Swim schedule, a 30-day notice is required. Please complete the Termination Form using this link or go to www.simpliswim.com/termination.
